In the latest comedy “The Hangover”,  one of the character quoted “it’s not a purse, it’s called a satchel” when someone said a remark on the bag he was carrying . Historically, satchel bags were used by English schoolboys since these bags can carry books, paper and pens. Commonly, satchels are made of quality leather or  even fabric in some instances. Traditionally, people from Indian countries use satchel bags made out of pretty fabric. The satchel was widely used during the 17th century but later on the backpack took over especially in the early 80s. Presently, creative designers reach to the past for inspiration by redesigning the satchel and making it a satchel handbag.

The satchel handbag is a must-have item nowadays since came in different styles, designs and colors and canbe seen in discount stores as well as fashion boutiques.
