The Parts Of A Paintball Gun

Nowadays playing warzone games with paintball gun has become a popular form of sport or hobby. Many guys and also gals are into tactical games with warzone scenarios using paintball guns. However, identifying paintball gun parts may not be as easy as playing or handling this recreational machine. A newbie will benefit from knowing these things especially when it's time to upgrade or clean your marker - it will be easier for you to identify them.

Body of the marker - The paintball gun's largest part is the body of the marker. This also identifies the area that has the trigger frame, bolt and valve. These are parts that can be detached from one another to allow new parts to be incorporated onto the body. However, it is only advisable to do this if you're an expert.

Paintball gun manufacturers generally have a standard approach when building to the gun's body. The placement of the barrel and trigger is the main difference. The trigger frame is pushed forward which shifts the balance of the gun, making it easier to handle with a single hand. This leads to a lower-profiled body which is ideal for players since hopper hits can make or break a game.

Hopper - This part is where the rounds of paint are held. Whether high-end or not, these paintball gun parts have not yet been perfected by manufacturers - balls still break and lead to jammed guns or feeding mechanism which leads to more ball breakage. Ball breakage while still in the hopper is more prone for gravity-feed hoppers. Other types include agitation hoppers, force-feed hoppers and stick-feed hoppers.

Tank - This is the part - among the paintball gun parts - that contains the gas that propels the balls forward and out of the gun barrel. The main propulsion material that you can use is either CO2 or high-pressure air. CO2 was the original gas used but nowadays HPA is more preferred because of its reliability and it doesn't need an evaporation system to fire.

Barrel - This is the part where the ball travels down when the trigger is compressed. This part is responsible for the distance, accuracy and speed of the ball's travel. The barrel is considered the most important among all the paintball gun parts. If you want quieter fires, it's best to choose longer barrels than the shorter ones.

By knowing these paintball gun parts, you will be able to maintain, clean and upgrade your gun/s with ease. Who knows, you might even become an expert on this.
